Amenazar Thrush

A lot has changed in music since the St. Joe quintet played their last show together 12 years ago. After playing for almost four years, Amenazar Thrush members Scott Foulk (vocals), Bruce “Bruiser” Condon (lead/rhythm guitar), Chad O’Callaghan (lead/rhythm guitar), Brandon Daniels (bass) and Everett “E” Jonas (drums) put the band on hold in 1996, and each member pursued other musical projects, though quits were never officially called. The band is reuniting for a gig at 10 p.m. tonight at The Rendezvous and playing the straight-up grunge sound they developed in the 1990s. But they found out that the sound didn’t sour with time. “When we started playing and started fine tuning some types of things, we realized that it really wasn’t that dated,” O’Callaghan says. “This is the first of hopefully many, many upcoming shows.”
