New teachers, new friends, new notebooks and shoes. It's back to school time.
After spending the summer days sleeping in, students returned to school on an unusually cool Monday, bright and early. St. Joseph students spent the day getting comfortable in their new classrooms, learning their new class schedules.and getting to know their teachers. Although kids just finished up with summer vacation, they are going to get a 4 day school week next. School will not be in session on Labor Day.
Also, the Saint Joseph Board of Education is meeting Monday evening. The board will vote on a tax rate to be set for this school year and consider buying three old homes to the west of Central High School to tear down and build an expanded parking lot.
