What's in that?: Lightning Storm shot at Last Call
by Lacey Storer
Friday, August 29, 2008

You can’t catch lightning in a bottle, but you can drink it from a shot glass at Last Call. The Lightning Storm shot contains Ice 101, Kaluha, Goldschlager and is topped off with Bailey’s Irish Creme. Mixed just right, it tastes like mint chocolate chip ice cream, at least according to bartender Heidi Rogers. The shot is very minty and very strong, as there’s “No juice, no nothing, just straight alcohol,” says Rogers. So you might just want to have one or two, or you might have one heck of a storm to weather the next morning.

Though these recipes are certainly interesting and intriguing, I'm not sure a family-read newspaper is the appropriate place for such material. Teen drinking is a reality, and I feel this feature may not be helping the situation.

Loosen up dad. It's an adult paper also. Just keep the booze cabinet locked and an eye on your kids. Everything will be alright.
