Celebrity Baby Fever hits again
We've just started the year, and already we're thinking 9 months ahead

We're barely into 2008, and there's already a haze of Celebrity Baby Fever upon us. It started with Christina and Nicole, and will end with Matthew McConaughey, Nicole Kidman and a few others who will announce their pending babydom in the next couple months.

We'll be on baby watch all year, and like most things celebrity, it can get a little... tiresome.

What it is about celebrity babies that can make us rabidly curious, as if the child was entering the world and coming home to our own families, rather than growing up spoiled and rich in Hollywood, destined to appear on an E! True Hollywood Story about dysfunctional celebrity family 18 years later.

Yes, they're all very cute, probably a zillion times cuter than regular children, given their genetically-blessed parents.

And yes, it's very entertaining to guess which/make fun of the ridiculous names their celebrity parents give them.

But other than that, they're really just regular babies, albeit ones that appear on the cover of People magazine.

Is there anyone immune to Celebrity Baby Fever? Can you resist the urge to check out the baby photos while standing in the line at the grocery store?
