I know I’m a few days behind, writing about Heath Ledger’s untimely death now. But honestly, I just didn’t know what to say. We all know his death is tragic, and that his talent could have taken him on to great things.
I simply don’t know what else I could write that hasn’t already been said or written. So here are links to some articles on his death that I found interesting, a random sampling.
The first is an editorial from Star Jones, of all people, denouncing the media coverage of his death. I have to agree with her on this one.
Here’s an interview Heath did about his role as a junkie in the film ‘Candy,’ which some are saying has extra significance now because of the role drugs might have played in his death.
And finally, here are some simple and tasteful tributes to Heath. The first is from Ellen DeGeneres.
The second is from Warner Brothers’ viral marketing Web site for Heath’s upcoming, and perhaps final, movie ‘The Dark Knight. If you haven’t visited this site before, the ribbon is a new addition. The third is from the studio’s main ‘Dark Knight’ Web page.
Needless to say, he will be missed.
.........and now as it is coming out that his death was quite possibly from natural causes, since the autopsy has concluded that there was not enough drugs in his system or in his apartment for that matter to have caused his death, I'm sure that the print media will not make it a top priority to chastise itself for the prior week of speculations of suicide and drug overdoses.
