This is: An untitled mural by Elaine Gann
by Blake Hannon
Friday, July 4, 2008

This piece of art won’t be found in any art gallery. You’re going to have to drive south on 25th Street to get a look at the mural on the back of Kelly and Marcia Lykins’ home at 2423 Faraon St. The picture is a mixture of pieces that the Lykinses found on the Internet (and a picture of the family cat), melded together into one piece, which took Gann 60 hours in the span of two weeks to complete. It was something that the Lykinses wanted since they spent so much time out in their backyard.

“We tried to find something that really wouldn’t be an eyesore,” Kelly Lykins says. Based on the reactions the mural gets (especially from women, according to Kelly), it probably isn’t.
