Wondering how to use those fresh vegetables and herbs? Try this recipe, suggested by East Hills Farmers’ Market vendors:
Yummy vegetable pizza
2 ( 8-ounce) packages crescent rolls
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (8-ounce) carton sour cream
1 (4-ounce) Hidden Valley Ranch style dressing
4 cups vegetables finely chopped (broccoli, cauliflower, cucumbers, carrots, peppers, onions and tomatoes).
2 cups shredded cheese, anything you prefer
Press crescent roll dough into bottom of ungreased 15-inch-by-10 inch-by-1 inch pan. Bake 12 minutes at 375 degrees or until brown. Cool completely. Mix sour cream, cream cheese and dressing mix and spread over crust. Add chopped vegetables of your choice. Top with any kind of cheese.
