Grant City woman dies in crash
A one-vehicle accident claimed a life Saturday morning.
Dawn M. Shafer, 33, of Grant City, Mo., was eastbound in her 1994 Nissan on Missouri Route 46 just before 8 a.m.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Ms. Shafer traveled off the north side of the road and the vehicle struck a tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
This was the 25th fatality in the Troop H area in 2008.
