In addition to Bombardier’s potential jet manufacturing plant, a huge distribution center will be locating there, according to the Kansas City Business Journal.
The article states that a 400,000-sqare foot distribution center will handle consumer products out of the site. It will involve rail and air deliveries.
This could open up jobs for local residents who want to commute to KCI, although higher gas prices may make that less appealing.
St. Joseph’s new Eastowne Business Park was in the running for a large distribution center. Officials have kept the company confidential. The warehouse building in Kansas City has not yet been named. It’s not known if they were the same project or not.
