News-Press to honor top high school seniors
by St. Joseph News-Press
Thursday, May 15, 2008

It’s time for the News-Press to applaud the academic achievements of graduating seniors in our area. The 10 students with the highest grade-point average from each high school will be included. To submit your school’s top seniors, follow these directions:

To ensure accuracy, the newspaper prefers photos in an electronic format. Send JPEG files and include a student’s name, school and class rank in each photo file.

To submit photos by mail, print name, school and class rank on the back of each photo.

We will publish the pictures of only 10 students per school. Schools submitting photos for the valedictorian and salutatorian only won’t be included. However, schools with a graduating class of less than 20 students may submit five photos.

Please include a note with the name, school and phone number of the school counselor or administrator submitting the photos.

Photographs should be sent to education reporter Nancy Hull, nancyhull@npgco.com or P.O. Box 29, St. Joseph, MO 64502. Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope if you want your photos returned.

The photos must be received by 5 p.m. Friday, May 30.
