Drink of the week: Mexican car bomb at Palma’s
by Lacey Storer
Friday, September 5, 2008

You’ve likely had an Irish car bomb before, but Palma’s is a Mexican restaurant, so they serve their car bombs the Mexican way. The Mexican car bomb is a shot half full of Jose Cuervo and hall full of Tequila Rose. Drop that into half a glass of Corona and start chugging. The drink is smooth, says bartender Andrew Blumer, and “tastes a little bit like strawberry soda.” That is, if strawberry soda had a tequila aftertaste.
