Woman accused of killing husband makes court appearence
Robin Sands is accused of killing her husband, Randal Sands, as he slept in bed.
A Saint Joseph woman accused of murder appears in court once again and is now facing more counts against her. 36 year old Robin Sands appeared for a preliminary hearing Friday morning. Ms. Sands was charged with murder in the shooting death of her husband, Randal Sands.
During a court appearance last month, Ms. Sands asked to be allowed to plead guilty. Judge Keith Marquart denied Sands' request, saying she needed legal representation before making a guilty plea.
Friday, in the presence of her lawyer, public attorney Susan Rinne, Ms. Sands faces two counts: murder and a count of armed criminal action. Both counts carry a maximum sentence of life in prison. Ms. Sands waived the preliminary hearing and is scheduled to appear in court September 11th.
