The Clinton County Sheriff’s Department recovered nearly $100,000 in stolen merchandise Wednesday.
Deputies recovered between $75,000 and $100,000 worth of stolen merchandise following a search warrant at 5785 S.W. Lakewood Drive in Clinton County, according to a Friday news release.
Deputies had to use multiple trucks to recover all the merchandise, according to spokesman Maj. John Famer. The items recovered cleared up several burglary cases throughout the county and in Smithville, Mo.
The owner of the property, Edward Page, was not at home at the time of the search. Clinton County authorities have issued a warrant for his arrest for receiving stolen property. A $15,000 bond has been set for Mr. Page.
