LIBERTY, Mo. — Dr. Jim Redd first stepped foot on the campus of Northwest Missouri State University as a young adult in January 1963. Almost 45 years later, he found out he will be inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame during a ceremony Feb. 10 in Springfield, Mo.
Not your average cage fighterJen Babcock spends most of her work days listening to dial tones and upset customers. She spends her nights trying to keep up with two highly active children.
Jen is like any typical working mother ... almost.
Most mothers aren’t trained cage fighters. Jen is.
“She started out wanting to do some boxing or kick boxing, when she first met me,” said Roy Babcock, her husband who came into the picture shortly after the birth of Jen’s second child. “I got into (Mixed Martial Arts); so that’s kind of how she fell into it.”
