Lindie is fascinated by the atmospheric processes that result in the local weather events that affect our everyday lives. So many variables acting and reacting in so many different ways make weather an amazing puzzle to try to piece together. After a tornado ripped through Andrew County in 2006, just about three miles from her home, and injured some of her neighbors and left several homeless, she wants to make sure to get the word out of approaching severe weather so people have ample time to take safety measures. Lindie loves her job and is very passionate about telling people about the weather and what they might expect.
Lindie grew up in rural northwest Missouri. She's a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville. Right out of college, Lindie snagged a job for a St. Joseph television station as a reporter and fill-in morning news and weather anchor. She then moved on to work in Casper, Wyoming and Boise, Idaho markets before returning home.
Outside of work, Lindie loves to travel, and play sports like softball, racquetball, basketball, volleyball, etc. Dancing is also one of her passions. Lindie volunteers with Midland Empire Chapter of the American Red Cross. Her pride and joy is her dog, Samantha.
