Read It's Your Call long enough and eventually you will hear everything. I think I've reached that point. Give me a break...someone is blaming the Bush Administration and Republicans for Black Friday Frenzy? The Bush Administration did not create this. Democrats have been in control of congress for the last two years when everything has really gone to c$#p but that does not have anything to do with Black Friday either. Those people were not injured and killed because someone wanted a good deal, they were injured and killed by greedy, Godless, immoral individuals that are taking over society. I hope htey can identify them and punish them all. If I had been the manager of that store I would have run everyone out and not sold a thing. The little bit of money they made won't come close to what they will probably be paying out in court for negligence lawsuits. You know those are coming. It's not the first time people have acted like idiots. They should have prepared better but the fault still lies with those guilty of the stampede.

megafrog you will be paying for cancer treatment for those that have medicaid. Actually if you have a group employee insurance you pay for those too with higher rates. the point trying to be made is that if you have enough to smoke and gamble and stuff like that you could use that money for food and not need my tax dollars to buy your food while you blow your money.

Ninja--The way to get welfare recipients to find jobs is to take away or limit the benefits they get from welfare. I'm not talking about people who honestly cannot work, I'm talking about those that won't, those that realized real fast that they make more money on welfare and it's a heck of a lot easier. You don't give them indefinite benefits in order to encourage them to get jobs.

I don't see a by-line on this story, who wrote it? It was not bad until you got to the last few paragraphs criticizing Dr. Schaaf. Why can't politicians just talk about themselves and what they want to do? Why do they always have to bash the other candidates. I am so sick of all the negative ads by ALL the politicians. Tell the people what you are going to do and leave it at that. We are smart, we can decide for ourselves.

MichaelH How is he not an orphan? The article says that he was living in an orphanage because his mother could not care for him. An orphan does not have to be a child whose parents are dead, just one who is deprived of parental care as is the case. So, do you suggest that he should not be adopted, that he not deserve to have the life that the Johnson's can give him? At least his mother attempted to get better for him when she realized she couldn't do it.

Maybe there needs to be change in American adoption laws. It seems our system does not want to help the children as much as these other countries do. Seems they make it possible whereas in America is is very, very difficult. You wait forever even if you don't just want an infant. Then there are the instances where the birth parents have so much time to change thier minds and can come take the child away. It is crazy. I wish we could help our own children first but our laws are not favorable for that. At least today there is one more child in the world who has a loving family. I am glad this family followed their hearts and opened their family and their doors to this child. Congratulations and Welcome to America Williams.

I won't shop there. They already got tax money to rebuild the place and now they are going to charge an extra tax to buy anything there, including Carlos O'Kelly's and Ground Round.

You can't believe anything any of the politcal candidates say during election. They are all a bunch of liars and cheats. None of them are for the people they are supposed to represent, they are all out for theirselves. Unfortuntately this election will not be based on who is best for this country, it will be based on who will do the least amount of damage. I think anyone who voted for the bailout should be out of office. How dare they commit me to paying for the greed and mismanagment of others. I did not contribute to the financial crisis, I should not have to bail out or rescue those that did. Obama tells just as many lies and has just as many negative adds and makes just as many negative, smear tactic commments as the republican campaign does. Neither one is better than the other in that respect.

I have read the story more than once and have not seen where it says it took 1:45 for the sheriff to show up. I did see where it took some time to pronounce the body. Did you miss the part where it mentioned where the vehicle was sitting? Did those few minutes make any difference to the outcome?

I don't blame the shops at all. If you have ever been to that area of an evening especially a weekend, there are just scores of kids hanging around on the sidewalks outside the stores. They throw trash on the ground, spit all over the sidewalks, block store entrances, their language is profane. No, I am not a senior citizen. I have teenagers but I have never let them hang out at the shops, the mall or at Taco Johns near the old movie theater. My reasoning to them has always been I have seen how those kids act and there would be no doubt in my mind that mine would do the same as their friends put in that situation (they are not perfect) and I think it's terrible behavior. Unless they had money to shop they did not need to be there.
