Yeah, it's hard to argue a point when you skim Google results and don't read the stories.
How about actually following the news for a while? It's kinda neat. You see all these patterns and stuff and it gets you thinking...

Hilarious!
I never come to this section, sorry. I get my daily dose of stupid on YouTube. I can't sleep, sifting through stuff...
Wright Winger that is hilarious! Dropping the Bohemian Grove on me, huh? I seriously have never looked at David Gergen the same and we sure got to see a lot of him again this year.
That's it, I'm calling my boy Alex Jones. I bet he knows something about you.

Wright Winger would make perfect sense if it wasn't apparent that he is, to a degree, partial.
StJoeMoe, not only are we collectively so ignorant, but from the conversation about legalization, we also apparently don't mind seeing our harmless fellow brothers and sisters locked away in disgusting prisons with very dangerous people.
People don't want to believe the truth. People will discredit a concept in their mind if it contradicts with their path or goal.
People don't want to believe their elected officials lie to them intentionally. They don't want to believe, even though Susie the secretary got caught stealing paper at the office, that Secretary Clinton will do things that benefit her and her man, just as anyone else in this conversation would if they could.
People want to believe that these people are somehow different than them and are somehow not subject to greed, emotion and malice.
I hate to break it to you, Sen. Clinton is just another Montee is just another Susie at the office.
StJoeMoe, chances are very good that people involved in the conversation are related to someone who was present.
Possibly related to one of the murderers...
*cricket*
Where is WrightWinger anyway? Betcha he knows something!

There is quite the force mounting in the UK concerning legalization.
The police chief is one of the largest supporters...

Well I'm insured and receive substandard health care. That obviously isn't working.
It's also not a surprise those places failed, they didn't have the support of the big, strong government.
As far as the employer thing, it works both ways.
Can you deny we need to motivate workers in the United States? Out of the unemployed, how many do you think are perpetually unemployed?
I don't claim to know all the answers, but something has to change. We can't get Americans to show up for work for an entire month without calling in sick.
Then we wonder why the Latinos "get all the jobs."
They show up! And, get this, they dependably work their entire shift.
I think it's all for nothing anyway. As I said in another comment, we are about to severely lose rights in this country. We are going to be bought out for the 08 tax season and people will be thrilled...
Until they learn the yang to their sudden cash yin.
I was pretty young when it happened, but the demolition of the Roubidoux Hotel was just horrible. It also seemed to have started a trend away from preserving these places.
Sarah, you do awesome work as any work to keep that awesome architecture together is awesome. I expected to see you interviewed up there.
What gives?
Do you insist money will make his family feel better?
I never understood the reperations thing. What about prisoners freed after years behind bars because of bogus "evidence" and are later found completely innocent? Reperations are NEVER given to those people.
While I think there should be a memorial of some sort, I'm not sure it should be of Mr. Warner. He was accused, and while I could almost say that the accusation was hogwash...
What if it wasn't? Would we have a memorial of a rapist in our city?
I think the larger story beneath the surface is that we have to do the hard thing sometimes; weigh ALL the FACTS. Do not jump to conclusions, and admire our legal system when used properly.
In this case though, the young man never stood a chance even if he did make it to court.
We don't know if he raped that girl, but we do know we had a town of maniacs lynch an ACCUSED man.

This section of the paper always reminds me of karaoke night at Legends. While disturbing at it's core, it's remarkably entertaining to watch.
