I can almost taste that Turkey Tom. Jimmy John's puts most other sandwich shops to shame. Sorry, Subway, but you'll probably be losing my business soon.

I don't think the reporter ever intended for this to be a "vengeance article." While she possibly could have done a little more research, she probably went with the best information available before her deadline, and I doubt she had any reason to second-guess her sources. She used a fairly common approach, leading with the human-interest element and gradually transitioning into the news angle. Furthermore, I think Erin did a nice job of storytelling. (I understand how you might criticize the timing of this story, though. It probably could have been handled more delicately, or at least differently.)

Now, I don't know the family in this story, but it sounds like the stepmother is doing a lot to offer these summer camps for children -- many of whom are disadvantaged and troubled -- and she's asking for a little help to keep her program going. I guess I don't see the problem with that.

Admit it, you've listened to your New Kids on the Block tapes in the past year. I love the fashion and the haircuts in the top photo ... and that Donnie Wahlberg is trying so hard to look tough.

On Hanging tough: the New Kids on the Block are reuniting.

Yeah, but Kutcher is kind of a giant leech himself. Oh, snap.

On It's the same old story, until the leeches take hold
