The Hoof would not be the same without the original location. They had no problem keeping the place packed. While were at it. I wish we could get the Original Bucket Shop back.
Another fine establishment in the heart of Downtown. "The Shaft" wonder what that means??? "The Chute" would be a more fitting name. Whats will we see next in Diem? Maybe a featured article on Blondies or the Emerald Club? Cant wait!!!!!

On Police investigate incident involving weapons
Here is what I would like to see in that area. A nice water park surrounded by a privately owned baseball complex similar to 3 and 2 in Lenexa. It would be flanked by a top of the line basketball complex, bike and skate park, Brunswick Zone bowling lanes which have indoor roller coasters, bumper cars, ballpits, and arcade "perfect for kids parties. The crown jewel of this development would be Dick's sporting goods. Dining to de determined later. If I were driving into St. Joe and saw a vibrant atmosphere like this, I would stop and wonder what else the city may have to offer. There are allot of young families going South for this stuff.
Time to stop daydreaming. Any investors in this idea????

ang1979, What a ridiculous post. You dont have a clue as to what the local law enforcement go through on a daily basis. The article says he was responding to an emergency 911 call. Emergency means lights and siren!!!! Injury accident, Holdup alarm, medical emergency, etc. He was responding to an EMERGENCY and put himself at risk. Thats what Law Enforcement officers do for this community everyday. How many people have you helped today????

No offense, but how comfortable do you think a Buchanan County Deputy will feel riding around in that tiny car?? You cant pick on Sheriff Strong for being over on the fuel budget because of the type of vehicle they are using. Every business in in the U.S. is over on their fuel budget. Have any of you critics analyzed the cost of fuel? What was the price per Gallon when Mr. Strong took office? What is it now? Was he supposed to know that our economy would plummet?? I think that the Sheriff's Dept. image has improved greatly since Mike Strong took office.

On Fueling the fleet a hot topic
Lets get down to the core of this. I think the bottom line here is that the residents of Twelve Oaks and Carriage Oaks are afraid that this school is going to effect their property value and their peace of mind. Just imagine the increased amount of traffic that will be cutting through both of these developments. I bet money and St. Joe politics win this battle. If this plan was being proposed in a less prominent area, there probably would be no issue.

The "decent" folks in the South need to take control of the community before it becomes a total loss. There are some great families who migrated to South St. Joe generations ago and were hard working family oriented people. These families were the fabric of the South side. Well, now it seems that some of the misguided youth feel they are heirs to the throne and they are having their way with things. If you so called gang members are reading this, why don't you find an older person in the community to talk with, maybe they will be able to shed some light on what it takes to make a neighborhood work. Trust me, you will earn more respect from your community by being a positive influence than by being in the police briefs. Think about it.
